Japan no problems. Pretty sure the 21/28 cylinder drop on. Pistons your spoiled for choice, any 54mm piston with a 15mm gudgeon and 22mm comp height goes up and down

NSR World

There is lots of parts in the engine you might have to narrow it down a bit.

Aprilia RS125 piston is the basicaly the same except they stock size is 53.97mm. Most 54mm mxer pistons have a 22mm comp height, so they are all a chance. Nothing wrong with ProX.
Head gaskets should be available from honda. Is a pair on ebay.

Are MC21 and 28 carbs the same?

Are the Aprillia pistons any better than running stock Honda stuff?

21 and 28 carbs are different, don't know how much different though.

If you thought TYGA prices are horrendous, don't try and source them from a local importer!

I know someone who has some MC16 or MC18 parts lying around I can ask what he has (not a top end though).

The Aprilia pistons are the ones you can buy for not much money and they are readily available. They are the best pistons :)

Check where the ring end gaps are, BUT stock size Rotax piston is 53.97 and runs 0.03mm clearence, Honda is 53.94 or 5 so use them on worn cylinders or hone to take off 0.01mm.
There are literaly 15 pistons you can use instead of the Honda.
