yammagamma seized now maybe for sale or part out banshee eng

Post by twinrock »

well due to a stupid mistake of not enough coolant in the radiator i over heated the bike yesterday..doh..!! it was after a long run back from wolombi racing a couple of ducati's
basically the rh side piston crown had lil pieces break off the very edge and got jammed in the crank..
this is a fantastic bike in handles extremely well
the engine is also fantastic..or was..lol
it has a standard banshee top end free flow reed cages and duel stage reeds, heavy duty clutch plates and springs, has been professionally ported by JMC racing who has been porting banshees since the 80s
it makes a stock rz350 feel very docile indeed..
the rest of the bike runs
rg250 chasis
rgv usd front forks
nissin 3 pot front caliper
brembo rear
vfr front disk
28mm flat slide carbs
the bike ran faultlessly starts first kick every time all electrics and everything work as should tires are 80%
you will need a new crank and at least one piston and rebore so about $600 worth of pats no including labor cylinders are still on original bore!!
reason for selling to be honest ..yesterday was a bit of a wake up call for me..i have a 11 month son and a house to build..there is only so much high speed road ridding you can get away with..i think its time to have a break for a while at least till i finish my house. i would like to sell it all together or can part it out which would be a shame..
to give an idea $2500 complete or $1650 for engine and carbs cdi as is..inspections welcome 0406726252 thanks
here is a pic

yeah it has been the best thing i have ever built actually..but thats cool easy come easy go..i can always build another one.. basically the bike minus the motor can be sold tomorrow as i have a buyer..and just have to see if the engine sells..if not yeah ill just stick it in the back for a while..
also i pulled the engine out totally today and had a better look..it appears that it was a bottom end fail, the big end went spitting bits into the cylinder.. doh..this was an original 250 crank with un known kms on it..

Sorry to bring up an old thread is the engine still up for sale?
Looking for a RZ350 YPVS engine only no carbs needed.
