2 Strokes Down Under

Well today my Kawasaki 750 H2 arrived. I am wrapped in the stye of the bike and the modifications that have been done to make it now handle and stop. I cant wait to get out and carve a few corners on it.

Nothing sound worst than a H2 at idle or on the overrun; but nothing sound better than a H2 'on the pipe' . The sound only will be worth the price of admission .

I hope the handling is as good as you hope, it will depend on how well those parts have been integrated and engineered into the original Oh My God Flexi Flyer Widow Maker.

Putting modern day suspension and stoppers on this bike has changed it dramatically.

It looks to have been modified in detail and beautifully done.

Between the H2 and the RZ you are going to be spoilt for choice and you will become very frustrated on a Saturday afternoon as to which bike you'll take for a jaunt up Mt Glorious. To save you this frustration when you go for a ride give me a call and I'll fly up from Sydney to ride the other bike and that way you'll be able to swap bikes at any time. It will save you untold amounts of frustration . Call me .

I wonder how the rubber frame will cope with the proper suspension. It does look good standing there.

EPA, I suss the centre loop of the original H2 was reasonable strong. I think the weakness was in the suspenders front and rear. I would expect, if well engineered, the new suspenders would be a notable improvement.

I know you can pick the difference going from wire wheels to mags even on an RD (on the race track). The torsional stiffness makes the turn in etc more precise - you can pick it. Suspenion performance needs re-gigging because of the extra weight of the mags.

But who cares, this bike wins on style alone .

I will post up some more pics soon. At themoment there are a few things that I want to change. Because of the now 17" wheels fitted it has lowered the ground clearance compared to the 19/18" that were fitted std, so I have had to drop the front forks through and raise the rear ride height by using 25mm shorter wishbones. this will stop my beautiful chambers grinding on the road at roundabouts ect.

Also the carbs have that old alloy look about them so its off for a sonic clean.
