They had powervalves? The parallel twins? I've got one of the original RGs (84-85?), definately doesn't have powervalves.
Re. fairings, I think they did change with the 2nd gen. RGs (86 onwards?). Have a look on bikepics.com.

I might be able to help with parts direct from Italy. I *think* Jeram still has his engine?? Ducati's are imported by NF imports which have nothing to do with the Paul Feeney Group who import MV, Cagiva and Husqvarna. I am told they like the 3 month wait on parts.
