Re: Whats a RG500 Worth
Nah, you're wrong there Pat. The box should remain closed to maintain authenticity. Besides, you might let the light in a frighten the contents. I have a 3x new RG500s here in the box and 5x new RZ500s as well and despite the fact that they might X-Ray as a bunch of house bricks in a box, they are g...

I wouldn't bet it's rubber grease. Probably raspberry jam with the pips taken out.

Re: WTF?! Hilarious!
The saddest thing is when a complete nice bike is worth more to a dismantler than to an enthusiast rider. I have a sneaking suspicion that a lot of bikes are rebuilt are from others who have lost interest or finances and then the parts are sent around the loop again. I aint planning on selling any m...

Re: And so it begins - long term RZ Resto story
I have a tank which was repaired by a plasterer I think (based on the bog filling the bottom), which I am going to attempt a repair of. The idea will be to set it up in a jig of some kind, cut the arse out of it with a plasma and weld new steel in. Either TIG or MIG. As you can see I haven't come to...

Re: Club Registration.
Exactly. I just read the Vicroads website and you do not need an entry in the log book for anywhere within 100 metres of the garaged address either. So, it looks like the IT4hunjie will be trying ITs best to remove mozzies up and down the street this weekend and there aint a damned thing the neighbo...

Re: Club Registration.
I hear your frustration, but I like ours better at least for rides within the state. Ride when you like, and to where you like. No need to tell anyone, just fill out date your name where you're going and go. No ringing club secretaries who may or may not be there etc etc etc, bullshit, bullshit, bul...

Re: Club Registration.
Yep, Vic club reg is dependent on the club to a degree as to what is accepted, but the rules are a little different than NSW. We have 45 or 90 day permits and you must fill out the log book before you set off and you must carry it with you. $69.30 for the first registration which includes plate and ...

Re: RZ500 fuel line replacement(s)
What bore diameter does it need to be? I bought some 8mm fuel line recently from my local Yamaha shop and it is thin walled, and quite flexible. Didn't have time to put clamps on it before Harrow Vinduro and I did half of one section before the wiring loom broke and I was uted back to camp so I don'...

Re: recommendation for a cylinder boring in Melbourne
Cant help in the south, but had my 400D cylinder bored at Hoppers Crossing and it looks like they did a nice job. Just waiting for bearings to assemble the cases and then I will know for sure.
I can find the mob if you need. Most engine re-conditioners should be able to help.

Unless you are using Motul 710 which is unfortunately what I use and a few of my mates.
It does give me the need to be at the front instead of at the back though. It also gives me a headache.
