Re: NO LONGER Trying to get YAMAHA to produce more ealy RZ t

When my pristine used RZ tank arrived from the uk I was frightened to death it would get dinged before I put it on the bike - so i bubble wrapped it and stuck it on the top shelf out the way. last weekend I inadvertently knocked it off reaching for something else and nearly died - but luckily it did...

Re: NO LONGER Trying to get YAMAHA to produce more ealy RZ t

I am frustrated as hell............ I have found several good looking tanks on Yahoo Japan (TZ, RZ) but Japan post will not ship anything that has been in contact with fuel or oil !! I bid on some NOS RZ exhaust baffles and they had to enter a manual bid as it fell into the bracket of potential cont...

Re: looking for TZR250 3MA

The 3ma is a bit temperamental for sure. I hear it is to do with the carbs and there could be an inherent design issue........ the 3XV is a tool. Pat will back me up I'm sure on this and suitably de restricted will show most NSR's & RGV's a clean pair of heels  Out of the box the cooking ve...

Re: looking for TZR250 3MA

Its the way to identify them correctly. If you just say TZR250, those in the know will reply "which one - 2MA, 1KT, 1XT, 3MA, 3XV, 2MY............." Then there are the SP's, SPR's, SUGO's  I though Old Gold had one coming in on the next shipment?? I saw the photo - maybe its spoken fo...

Re: My KR 250 pics

I just had my RZ rebored for some Wiseco's I bought from the USA. Its now on 1.5 O/S. Once you get over 1.0 you are limited in choice. There are some coated pistons from the USA that I have used on my race bikes in the past which I wanted but they only go up to 1.0mm over and they are a very good pr...

Re: LC Left Switchblock.

I had one fitted to my air cooled. spent a lot of time cleaning etc until I found that they earth the kill sw as opposed to the air cooled supplying a positive to the coils !! I also cut the plug off to fit individual connectors. I ended up paying silly money for a NOS from Malaysia - nice switch th...

Re: Looking for a 250 or 350 LC, most options considered

You could try calling Steve Leembrugen of Old Gold Motorcycles in Londonderry, NSW (Google as I don't like to post emails & mobiles on Forums) depending on what you want he is always bringing in bikes from Japan and may be able to help. I was over there on Friday nad he showed me some photos of ...

Re: R6 Rear shock for RZ?

I bought them to fit on my 750 as I was told they were 41mm but turned out to be 43mm. They were cheap so I wasn't too bothered. With static checks they don't seem too bad, but if they are a spring change is pretty simple. Finally got all the paint off the wheels, now not sure what colour to do them...

Re: Ignition - RD350LC

I heard it was a worthy upgrade - but its finding one. Like hens teeth. I have one off the resto RZ that I may borrow & try back to back tests on the LC against the original CDI to see if there is a noticeable difference. I'm not knocking these Zeel or ignitech products but for me I don't see th...
