Afternoon All
A quick question for anyone who owns a 1XH model RZ250 in partciular a 1986 model.
I have the factory parts book supplied by Yamaha (sourced very kindly from Yamaha I must add) for my bike which shows the carbs as being round slide with the cable running from the top of each carb to the junction box and one cable to the throttle (like on the LC and the 29L model). On my RZ I have one cable to a linked set up with each carb running off the linked bar with the big return spring. It all looks factory but.......
So what should teh standard set up look like. I suspect there may have been a change here........
I'd also be interested to know what the later model RZ's ran.
Thanks in advance
RZ250 1XH Carb set up - A question?

Re: RZ250 1XH Carb set up - A question?
My 84 51L RZ250RR has the throttle cable set up like you describe. It was a Jap import and has Mikuni VM26's but they have a square flat top and not the round screw like on the Aust VM26's.
Is this like what you've got?

Re: RZ250 1XH Carb set up - A question?
No I have round tops.
There is no throttle adjustment on the carb like in the parts book. The throttle adjustment is between the carbs by screw. I am mulling over how to synch the buggers, must be done by screw somewhere....
I'll take a photo and post it here next weekend
