RZ,'87 variable damper fork rechrome? Where?Who? in NSW

Post by L.B. »

As above,Im looking at rechroming a set of '87 v/d fork tubes,I know Doco/Pete just went through a very expensive exercise, but Im just looking at pricing at mo to rechrome these tubes.
Anyone in the know or info they can share on who & where to go in NSW?

Best place in Aust......by far the best quality and good pricing is:

Hard Chroming Services in Adelaide. (google)

They hard chrome Industrial rams for heavy equipment so their sizing is perfect...unlike others.

They also do shock linkage bushes and axles etc.

I have been using them since 1988 and have not seen better anywhere.

i had mine done at RAD hard chroming and was very happy with the job, they are in brisbane though but you might be surprised with the postage cost, they were 150 a side and better than new with thicker chrome than when they left the factory

A1 Hard Chrome in Auburn Sydney. He has done a few sets for me now and has always delivered a quick turn around and a top job $350 a pair.

Another alternative is Diamond Hard Chroming Belmore. Its a while since I've had any done but I suss their price is around the $300-350. Very professional and friendly guys. Will straighten slight bends for zilch etc. - and most forks will have slight bend which will show up when spun in a lathe. About a week's turn around.
