New toy (TZR421) is on its way!!!
Re: New toy (TZR421) is on its way!!!
Made a promise a
The r6 cost $ 110 deliver from the states
You will have to set it to one side on the top mount
Trim the remote adjuster ( Lu chain did this part 4 me)
Didn't say any thing about this on the site I found the
Mod on.
But works well 4 me
Interfright will ship bikes in a crate up 200 kg
$250 no insurance
Cheers peet

Re: New toy (TZR421) is on its way!!!
how do you mean mount to the side of the top mount?
does the top shock mount sit outboard of the frame's shock mounts? or just off center within the frame's shock mounts (needing spacers)?
I can probably trim the remote reservoir if its doable with a die grinder
might be worthwhile posting up a couple pictures and a link to that thread if you could please? thanks !

"I just wanted to know, because theres nothing worse than finding a piece of shit in the bottom of your corn flakes. "

Re: New toy (TZR421) is on its way!!!
Just got in & checked my shock
It the same 1
If u take black cap of resvouir you have about 11mil to play with
With the shock center the chain cut 6 mil off it
Maybe a little off center & a trim
Think there was more in turnover the shock around
The top of the shock mount need to be round on the
Resviour side not sure about grease nipple
As didn't turn it around or get it in

Re: New toy (TZR421) is on its way!!!
Got the bike today thanks to my neighbour (Fred9999999 on this forum).
bike started after a few minutes of kicking and runs nice but has a few minor issues.
The good:
The motor sounds evil yet kicks over easily when the electrics are working.
engine looks well built and the frame is in good condition.
lots of expensive bits in this motor.
The bad:
1. flat battery doesn't help
2. even when engine fired up, the spark is very weak (pulled on out and fired bike up to see)
3. there is some kind of dead short in the brake lever switch which kills the power
4. some retard brush painted the wheels white
solutions:
1- new battery is comming in the post with a box of bits from the seller which is very handy.
2. ignitech ignition with two stroke shop stator/flywheel is comming in the same box of bits. that with two RGV coils and some DENSO racing plugs should have the sparks looking feirce.
3. trace the front brake MC wires and if no solution can be found Ill illiminate the problem by installing a radial master cylinder and rewire the brake light section of the loom
4. I was suprised that carb cleaner with a wet rag removed the old paint without causing much damage to the original white paint underneath. I would spray it then quickly rub it off with the wet rag to dilute the solution so it wouldnt damage the good paint. came up look alot better but Id like to powdercoat the wheels in the future.
my ideas for the future:
1. new silencers to quiet it down a little
2. Set up the suspension
3. I was going to upgrade brakes but they feel really really good
4. posible 3ma swingarm swap
5. the body work isnt in the greatest condition so Ill be looking into getting a YZR500 replica fairing for it in the future to replace the existing plastics/tank/tail.
but for now Ill just fix the bad items and do the silencers so that I can register the bike on the road and enjoy it

Just looking at that radiator with the inlet at the top and the outlet on the same side. I would hope they put some type of divider in that tank or the water would not cool effectively.
Nice looking bike all the same

Re: New toy (TZR421) is on its way!!!
take the hoses off and run some water through the top inlet and see if it come straight out the bottom outlet, if it does there is no divider.. looking at the tank from the outside in those pics you would normally see some small distortion from internal welding as well.

Re: New toy (TZR421) is on its way!!!
Or just try to push a hose up through the bottom to the top. You should be able to feel the plare and not get it past.
Or ive got one of there, would tell ya straight away.
