Nice pics. I like the one of the RZ350 - 3rd one down - looks like mine... oh wait, it is!

As soon as we stopped and parked a few people came up to chat and one them asked if I wanted to sell it. Everyone seems to have owned a RD / RZ in their past!

Cheers Thommo! Seeing pics of my bikes almost makes the god awful boring ride down to the Island worth it! Actually, seeing the super-cool classics racing round the track might have done that!

It's a fabulous weekend mate, the smell, the atmosphere, old and young banging old bikes around like no tomorrow. What more do we need?

Whereabouts are you? I used to ride from central qld for the classic, supers etc

Just in Melbourne mate, I wanted to head down there for the weekend but circumstances didn't permit that so just went down for the day and then the wife called and we needed to depart early which kinda impacted my enjoyment a bit. Think I'll try and do the Saturday next year if I can only do one day again.

Agree with you though, the smell especially - being on top of the pit garages whilst all the TZ & RD's were waiting to go out was awesome!

My weekend was a bit of a fizzer, but i was able to prove that the chassis change was spot on after a bit of rear end tweaking.

Fuel starvation issues on the RH carb due to the butchered Spondon tank were a headache

gradually i had it working pretty good until detonation on the LH cylinder ended my day half way through race 1 on Sunday morning. This may also have been due to the above problem or an air leak as it was pretty messy.
There wasn't really time to put the spare engine in for the last race.

I left the tank with Barry Ditchburn to get fixed and panel beat the dings out.
One day lad all this will be yours............
