So it seems that the CDI is cactus so I am going to install a Zeeltronic - CDI-RD07. Is there a local source for these or do you get them from the web? The web wants to charge me 40 euros and still only send it 1-2 weeks after order - seems shitty to me.

I got mine direct from Borut.
I don't know of a local supplier.

Be prepared for some middle level bank to steal some of your money.
I wish Borut had paypal. I would prefer to cover his paypal fees than put up with JP Morgan stealing $50 of my money for nothing.

I think I might have asked him about paypal once before and it wasn't available in his country or something.
When I did a bank transfer (that cost me $20 to do), the money got to him short. I gave the bank a mouthful and got them to investigate. Turned out another bank took fees in between, which is ridiculous. You can't guarantee that the right amount arrives.

The other option is to post a bank cheque or something instead.

Yeah that might be easier than losing fiddy bucks.

I wonder how they manage to pay him without being fisted by an anonymous banking thief.

maybe they just buy a bunch and then spread the cost across the lot?

Possibly.
I've often thought of building an online store for that kind of stuff out here, but I never have the funds to risk throwing at it.
I wouldn't want to end up another TSS either.

Some kind of co-op then? I know, pitfalls in every direction.

So I've bought a second hand CDI off eBay at a good price cause I want to check that that was the problem before dropping $300 on the Zeel. Yes I know that ultimately the Zeel will work better but I have just watched 6 months rego pissed up againts the wall on the damn thing so I'm not spending anymore than I have too at this time. Cause if it aint the CDI then I basically have to check the loom for issues.......

And the result was it started 3rd kick!! Think I might just enjoy it for a while before I start thinking Zeeltronics or the like.

You can keep the stock CDI with zeeltronic anyway. That's what I have.
The LC does not have a curve built in. It's a static 20 degrees advance.

So I just have the Zeeltronic VCDI connected to the standard CDI.

Depends on which Zeel you get Jeff... While some piggyback, ie VCDI-04, which i expect you have (its also what I run), but there are single box replacements as well now and you can use the ones from the RZ like the PCDI-10v if you wanted, you just dont use the PV function etc.

Yeah I know, but surely the others would be more expensive so you wouldn't go that route unless you got a cheap one second hand or he doesn't do just the VCDI any more.
