One problem solved another created.
Replaced the clutch springs and after sorting out how that effin kick start goes back in (it has to be the worst part of the worshop manual and the pictures are shit) took it for a proper run. No more slipping yay - when the power came on at 6,000 holy Jeezus batman - could feel the front wheel lifting what a hoot!!
Parked up and walked past 10 mins later petrol everywhere - the RHS needle doesn't look to be sitting in the seat. But being a vacum fuel tap of course shouldn't matter so means that the vacum's not working. Fortunately both are a cheap and easy repair - but I got to give it a proper spin after 2 years and that's a reason to smile!!
