Well let the battle begin.!
We better start another thread, I feel bad for taking attention away from Doc's build.
Cheers,
Alex

Yep sorry Pete, i was just hoping to stir you back into action this weekend mate! (yeah and you Alex!).
Cheers LB!
There are some real highs and lows with creating something different and i just reread my old thread and i know just how much more stuff there is left to do, you can easily sock up hours on the smallest thing and no one else tends to even notice it, so i feel your pain fellow builders.... but lets not let the rainy summer get us down, more time to lock yourself in a cool garage!

Bumping this thread and putting it back on topic...
I dropped in to see Pete yesterday and before we knew it hours had flown out the door (sorry mate!) as we talked about rads and our various projects. Whilst Pete's bike is still a bunch of (very clean, painted, refurbished, modded or new!) bits still, it really isnt that far away from being ready for it to become a roller now... wahoooo!
Anyway, loving the parts in this build, I seriously fell in love with Pete's Nitron shock (shush, dont tell him, he might get jealous!)... LOL! Anyway, this bike is gonna be a swift and sorted machine when its done. In many ways similar and yet, also quite different from my LC as both have basically the same motor on board. very exciting, cant wait!

no worries mate, was fun, BTW ive now fitted my headlight and a few other bits, but still a ways away, but it does look like a bike now to the untrained eye LOL.
Great news on the tyres, whack in the new bearings and youve another few big chunks all done and ready to fit, it starts to seem like its getting easier at this stage i reckon. its getting the small details that will slow you donw later, but from now enjoy the faster ride!

Got a few things done on the weekend, first of which was to sort my indicators and tail tidy;

Next was to see what I could do to fix up the rough old R6 seat, so Im trying some new style vinyl in a carbon fibre look. Not 100% sure about it yet, but I havent stuck it down so might have to see how it looks against the real stuff first ??

Had to do that on Jeram's Mito, the top mount has a small spacer each side. Just skim it on the lathe.
