The SSB's are beauties, though it's hard to get away from the "bastards ripped me off" feeling when you pic up the box (feels like it's empty) or the battery which feels like it's full of ....well nothing. They will also charge from the alternator. 2 yr warranty what else could you ask for. Going to put one in my car when current(geddit) battery is on the way out.

Lozza thats an awful joke... LOL!
Good news on the battery and the x-over manifold Pete. I like the idea of charging by remote control... er...

Mate I'm so happy ,
Immglade a guy like you brought this off me , to see it come to life is great , looks sexy as , some smart dude must have tought R6 parts on anRZ would look horn

.
Also Witt the battery tray and oil tank , my idear was to use the ample space under the fuel tank . The large void used for the air box on the R6 , I was going to fill the RZ top frame with a aluminum tray to hold it all ,
Just some idears

Jeff, the filter is 63mm, its the intake thats 48mm

Nope... I definitely bought 48mm filters for my PWK28's.
There is no way the intake is 48mm on a 28mm carb

I always thought you measured carbs on their exit, ie the 'into the engine' side and you measured the ID. the OD will be a few mm more. Ie a 28mm carb would be around 33mm on the OD.
If what I believe is right, your carbs are about 40mm Pete!

Ahhh I got my wires crossed... I thought you were talking about the airbox boot, not the manifold

48mm intake.. jeebus they are big puppies.

FYI, I measured a 38mm mikuni today... OD on the manifold side was 43mm. All carbs are different and some have thicker or thinner walls of the manifold side of course.

build a big airbox and house the carbs in there.
