I'm really happy with the result and the picture doesnt do the colour justice.

Did you repair your exhausts or were you lucky enough to get good exhausts with the original bike?

One of the things I looked closely at on the Ebay bike were it's exhausts .

No my pipes were stuffed and had the headers welded to the mufflers. I got a set from the US but they turned out to be not much better but at least the threads for the castle nuts were good. I repaired the mufflers by cutting out the dented sections and cutting out the same section in the other set and welding in the patch. I also had to cut up an RD pipe to get some material. Then polished out the welds and got them rechromed. Tyring to build up the dent with wed and polish it back out is a waste of time and you are always chasing your tail trying to get the low spot. Its quicker and better to replace the section and all you really need is a pipe with a similar taper. I have my own engineering business so things like this dont pose any problem to me.
I cant even see the repais now and I know where they are. I did manage to score a NOS muffler from Melb later on and got it rechromed also.

Yep its nice but I already have one and its too far away. I would hate to think how much it would cost to ship it. It been on before also.

Campbelltown motorcycles They are a nice bunch of guys howerever, I got my bike dynod @ RC tuning moorebank with a brand new dyno it put out 101.3 hp, next day took it to ctown I got 118 .... My current ride has 152 hp (c&m motorcycles).

Is that because of different dyno's or different tuning?

This will be interesting to watch. I reckon it has about the same amount of work and money required to get pretty as the YDS5 (probably easier because the pipes look pretty good ).

Go figure - it got passed in zero bids

I thought that would have had a higher reserve on it but thats a fair price at the moment, I wonder what it will actually sell for in the end.
The DS3 is just too far away to find a buyer which is a shame but I could think of wosre bikes to be unable to sell.

I think $500 will get it trucked to the eastern state - $5000 DS3, bargain .
