Need to replace standard pistons in a 86 RZ250RR, what are the options people are using. ProX, Mitaka, TKRJ, OEM ? any suggestions appreciated.
Do the Mitaka/ TKRJ pistons last?

and can I get them local (QLD) or do I need to fish on the internet?
Cheers
Philip

I use Mitaka pistons in RDs, LCs and RZs without any issues. I buy them from Yambits in the UK. Never tried the other brands.

Still starts with a " R " and goes ringa dinga when it fires up!
Stopped watching them grow, trying to gets some harvested now, all I need is some sunshine and three days I can be finished. Summer crops going into winter can be a waiting game indeed.
RZ is my middle sons project, hoping to educate him thru the rigours of the "shed" and seeing what you swear and cuss at eventually look and sound like a bike should.
Got told that the RD LC piston shape also works in the RZ YPVS models, any knowledge on that one? the LC has smaller intake cutouts and is taller than the RZ piston, and has no cut away above the piston pin.
Cheers
