1986 RZ 250 1F parts manual

Post by pkay »

:help: I find it somewhat bewildering the number of variations that Yamaha had on the same bike. I was hoping that all the books that I collected for the 1984 34J would work for the 1986 1F model. Doesn't look that way!! Bugger. So now I am trying to track down a parts manual for the 1986 RZ250 1F model. Does anyone know where I could find one. The guys at Yamaha have said they will give me the relevant page when I need it which is great but sort of doesn't help when I'm in the shed at 9.30pm trying to work out how something goes together!

All help greatly appreciated

Not sure about all the Australian designations, but 1986 would be an "F2" or an N2 in the UK. frame and bodywork revised. Tacho drive went electronic but in essence the motor the same (diff CDIs etc discussed various forums).
I don't have a fiche for it but Yam UK were usually happy to give a PDF of the microfiches, worth asking as Yam can probably send you one PDF with the entire parts list.

Have you tried Xaviers French site?
Can't remember web address but has loads of this info.
Rd350lc.net or sumething.
