The culmination of an obsession i reckon when you read it, but... who will pay him that for it? Im thinking he was alone in his quest to find it, so, er, no one...

$130k? Thats a decent house deposit or at least half a dozen really respectable other classics. Needs a mad, rich private collector, like you say, probably himself.
Be curious to know how much he paid for it and when. Interesting story though.

It's had 90 bids to date from what I can see... He listed it at $1,969.00
So it looks like at least 2 people are keen.

How can he be dreaming when it's already reached $130K USD with 91 bids? The bike is clearly worth the money - a pre-production prototype of what is considered the first ever superbike. He's clearly quite capable of moving brown smelly stuff up an incline with a narrow implement.

LOL, well my worry is that its being bid up, either by him, or by someone else, just to set a provenance or prove a point. The world is a funny place and maybe Im just not very trustworthy but ebay is used for more than just buying and selling it seems these days :/
