I reckon it's a good buy for the money, people have started asking almost $15K for RZ500's... Apparently it's mint and from memory only about 5,000kms. I was asked if I was interested in it a few months back - I've never really been a huge fan of RG500's though respect their significance (give me a nice alloy framed RZV500 thanks!), but I have to say I did the sums because I reckoned it would be a good investment, but of course that's not really a reason for me to own a bike...

To own it now I'd have to give up the GSXR750 & 400 + the R1-Z & the MVX... And that means too much empty space in the garage!

RG500, MVX...... who gets the floorspace?

same again GSXR400.....

I can't help myself, I love the underdog! (or in the case of the mvx just dog...)

Only teasing, can't rationalise why you like something irrational, probably why my Missus hasn't shown me the door yet.... but if you were looking at it from another angle and you had the money...

LOL GSXR400 and MVX V's RG500.... no contest... An article entitled 'Fear of Flying' did it for me back in 1986... Just wish i had 15k :/

If it was just the 400 & the MVX then yep agree no contest. But in fact it would cost me 4 x two strokes (RZ, R1-Z, MVX & KR) to buy that RG.... though Old Gold has just added a heap of photos of the RG and man it looks like a good one!

Besides, the KR250 is basically half a RG500 isn't it? (for 1/6th the price!).
