RZV500 - Sydney

I have an RZV500 for sale.

Approximately 22,000kms. I would rate it about a 8 out of 10 condition wise. Its completely original / un-restored.

As most people on this forum probably know this is the Japanese domestic market model which features a hand welded aluminium frame (Australian model had steel frame) and more adjustability on the forks.

It is also restricted for the Japanse market. Unrestricting involves fitting either aftermarket pipes or removing restrictors from the exhaust pipes (requires cutting & welding).

Requires engineers certificate and blueslip for rego in NSW (approximately $500 plus cost of rego).

Make me an offer.

I also have a RZV500 roller (complete bar fairings, seat, tank and radiator) for sale. Engine does NOT turn over.

Cheers, Markus.

Gday mate, no I have no idea, I bought it as is.

I would expect at a minimum you'd have to do new cranks, fresh top end and new gearbox bearings. I can't guarantee the engine is rebuildable.

Cheers, Markus.

Update:

the roller was sold a month or so ago.

The complete bike is in the final stages of being cleaned up, serviced and having unserviceable parts replaced (new set of tyres, brake pads, various hoses, etc.).

Will post another note when its (finally) ready. Hopefully within the next four weeeks.

Cheers, Markus.
