2 Strokes Down Under

For those that missed it do yourself a favour and make sure you get out to EC next year. This year Freddie Spencer was the guest of honor commemorating his 250/500 title double in 85. I have heard it said that you never want to meet your heroes but nothing could be further from the truth with Fast Freddie. To say he was a genuine delight to meet was an under statement , he would answer any question anyone asked had stories to tell of the good old days. Was in attendance from friday to sunday all day (as well as a dinner saturday night) and when he wasn't signing autographs or in photo's he was sitting on a deckchair in No3 pit.
Freddie got all fired up when I asked was he going to the GP Legends meeting in Spain, "You betcha there will be 35 500's out at one time" he said with a smile.

Sounds good. Sadly I couldnt make it, and the 2 guys i would have pit bitched for both couldnt make it. Roll on next year I guess, how will they top Freddie tho?

I always miss this thing. I wish it was advertised better.
