Anyone going to MotoDNA track day on the 10/04/15?

A group from work is trying to organise to go.
I'm going to try and go if I can get one of the mates rides free spots (so we pay half each).

Just checked the date code of the front tyre - looks like it was made in 2001
So off it comes... I'll try and get a tyre next week. Looks like motohub in Castle Hill have some on sale.

It's $250 if you just want the track and no class/coaching.
And more often than not, they have a "mate rides free" offer, so you end up paying half each.

Without the mates offer, it's about double the price of wakefield. At first I thought it was pretty steep, but I guess you don't have the 4 hours worth of driving ($50+ in fuel alone) and don't have to get up at sparrows fart.

The higher level groups with ex-racers coaching you etc is $450 I think.

This is the one I'm going to:
http://motodna.net/events/sydney-motors ... ircuit-10/

Its the south circuit that's not very big. I think a fella from work said he only got to around 130kph. Smaller tight track is probably best for my first day out anyway. I actually don't like the thought of traveling the length of the main straight at EC with my 500 wide open the whole way.

$125 is good - although south circuit only will get pretty boring pretty quickly. Although it does have the best corner of EC - Corporate Hill (turn * or whatever number it has these days). And I was doing a fair bit better than 130 - although I can't give a number - if you have time to look at the speedo you are not going fast enough.

And Wakefield is worth the sparrow's fart and the $50 - especially for us 'mere mortal' speedsters (speaking for myself alone :D ).

I think the bloke that told me 130 is a bit of a novice, so might take it easy. Don't care about the speed, as long as it's fun.

Went for a Dunlop Q3. Seems to have pretty good reviews.

Hopefully I get some from the track, but they don't allow video or anything on track.

We're about to find out if they are Speedblocks or Roadblocks decals you have there.

Enjoy, have a great safe day. And have a kind thought for us working slobs that keep the country running while you're off having fun. :P

Great day... I was terrible to start with.
They put me in the second fastest group out of 4 so I was a bit daunting, but improved a lot over the 4 sessions. Started running on 3 cyls on the 5th session, so I came in early. It's one of the uppers, so too much work for so late in the day.
Hopefully they will put some pics on facebook soon.

Not many pics because they don't allow you to take them. They have their own photographer there.
But this is the bike after the first session. I had to take the side stand off as it was scraping on one particular corner.

And this is the man version of the photos the chicks take of their legs at the beach.

Shiny yellow bananas :)

My ex used to call herself a banana, yellow on the outside, white on the inside. :)

Love those VFR's as well.
