"A motorcycle is a bicycle with a pandemonium attachment and is designed for the especial use of mechanical geniuses, daredevils and lunatics." - George Fitch Atlanta Constitution, 1916
When I was courier on RD in Sydney, I valued my life enough to remind some drivers to be alert to bike riders in just that way.
My actions never resulted in this kind of incident but I did get chased once, which put fear into my heart.
Not condoning the rider's actions (after all we don't know what happened in the lead up) but respect to him for staying on after the car slammed into him!
Recon he was going too fast with too much mass (gyroscopic force) helping him stay upright. What I mean is, if he was going slow he would have came off?
