Replacement front suspensions.

A lot of threads on other sites are about using R6/YZF600/RGV250/RS250 forks & tripleclamps to update the standard RZ500 forks. Has anyone considered RS125 forks? They're 40mm USD but only one disk - even though it is a big one. Could be lighter than the regular upgrades and work OK with stiffer springs?

Do the forks have the castings for a second caliper?
I can't say I would want to ride a modded 500 with a single disk

I think they are a little longer, but you can slide them further into the triples to get the same height.

I got the first gen r6 forks on my 500 and have had no problem.
Only have the get the steering stem swapped over, "adjust" the steering stops, "fiddle" around with fitting the key / lock and used a yzf1000 front wheel to retain the speedo drive.
If you come the the stinky day on the 15ht next month you can see it.
I'd still see if you can find a yzf600 (pre r6) front end if any are around and are cheap first.
Cheers
