ok just fitted a sh engine to the rgv-pv shit itself and the cylinder

have the bottom cylinder not firing strong and top cylinder firing strong - exhaust pulses coming out of the end pipes

i have fuel dripping out of the exhaust port of bottom cylinder onto the ground

what i have done to check
replaced plugs with new
replaced bottom coil
replaced carbs

bike starts first kick
engine will run strong with bottom plug lead removed
engine will run not strong with top plug lead removed

it looks like something wrong with compression me think but i dont have a tester

will a 4 stroke compression tester work on a 2t and is the procedure the same me ask

cheers mike

yes, same tester, same procedure,

are you getting a decent spark on bottom cylinder?

I guess thats your first question which you need to ask yourself to determine whether you've got a fuel/compression issue or an electrical issue

would be looking at the CDI (not SAPC) unit , I would be swaping that to begine with. Seek out anyone who has installed a Ignitech/Zeel as that become redundant then

thanks for the reply and help

2 plugs ive used are BR9ES and BR9ECM
so yes they are resistor plugs but the caps are standard suzuki so i dont think they are resistor caps

though ive changed the bottom coil with another with no effect i might swap the top coil over to see if it makes a difference

cheers mike

OK I FEEL LIKE A RIGHT DICK

sorry for not giving the full story but i forgot to say i fitted a set of pipes i had lying around i picked up with a project bike and installed them as they had some nice stingers fitted

so after thinking for a bit that was what the problem was

blocked stinger-just imagine all that backpressure

shall fit another pipe on the next day or two and should work well
