HI.
Can anyone shed some light on the differences, if any, between the Expansion Chambers and Muffler cans on an RG 400 and an RG 500?
I have heard and read that the only difference is that the lower chamber stinger diameters are smaller, hence a 500 can wont fit a 400. Does this also apply to the upper chambers as well.?Finally, are the actual chamber dimensions any different and are there any performance, jetting or mounting issues if a 400 set was fitted to a 500.

Do you have a 400 set put them on and ride. The rg pipes are full of fly wire on a 500 and not big enough anyway. I think the stinger holes are smaller though but if you pm me the diameter of upper and lower I will check for you. Link

the stinger has a smaller diameter
so the end of the main chamber is smaller- thats the only difference
other than that the rest is exactly the same
