Keihin PWK idle adjust

Post by Jeram »

Hey fellas,

just trying to set up the idle on my pwk39 off an RM250 that Iv got on my CRM250 project.

Iv turned the idle adjust screw (the black plastic screw on left side of carb with a spring on it) all the way in, but I cant seem to get it to idle high enough to not stall

so Iv resorted to temporarily adjusting the cable to lift the idle but I dont like doing that, it just seems like a 'band aid' fix

any ideas?

by they way, once the engine is fully up to temp its not so bad, still a little too low for my liking though.
so should I just suck it up and get used to blipping the throttle for 5 minutes everytime I ride the bike
the following 4T propaganda was brought to you by your local 2T lobby group...

"whats that youve got there?... a 450? "
yeah...
"what cereal packet did that come out of? "
huh?...
"I just wanted to know, because theres nothing worse than finding a piece of shit in the bottom of your corn flakes. "

I had the same problem with a PWK, a shorter spring fixed that
