Hey all, I'm seeking some parts to improve the old rs, if anybody has a spare race cdi or zeel, and a nice rear shock to suit an 06 model please let me know. Thanks,
Rich

Just go to Borut for your Zeeltronic(your about 2 months to late for a used one), there are not many good aftermarket shocks for the RS, I would go Nitron via Sean at THe Tuning Works in the UK. You could try Wilbers bit something decent will be $600 +

Cheers mate, both seem to be almost non-existent on 2nd hand market here. Theres the sachs sp (boges) shock on ebay that's approx 500 delivered, do you have any opinion on it? Hopefully the quality is a few levels higher than the standard unit. Anything available locally seems prohibitively expensive as you suggest. Ideally I wanted a plug and play device for the cdi, so I'm not sure I need a zeel, especially as it will be one more thing to tinker with.

500 bucks seems like a rip off for a sachs shock.
my race spec nitron shock for my mito was 950 bucks delivered from the UK and it's the absolute top of the range.
you should be able to get a slightly lower spec fully adjustable nitron for around 600.

For $500 I would want a better than 'hopefully' with a Nitron or Wilbers I KNOW what I'm getting.

Boy, tough crowd, but good to know so thanks for the suggestions. TBH this is a side project that may or may not last, so $5-600 is decent money for one aspect of the bike with an unknown future. It's racing again in 2 weeks, I'll see how it goes after some recent changes its received and come to some conclusion about its future. BTW do you guys at the institute do any port work or have somebody you might be able to refer me to? Thanks,

I Can do port work but the RS doesn't need much in the way of 'porting'. Needs a few other things, the thing that holds the RS back is the weight(unless your racing against other RS's) as a GP 125 weighs about 70kgs the RS is 120 or so. BUt in saying that I think you could go to 35HP and still be a 125.
PM me if you want more info.
