RD250LC frame & a few RD350LC questions

Hi, Newbie on this site.

After reading much info available on this site, I am having second thoughts about trying to rebuild my RD350LC.....which is in a rather sad state :( . I had been hoping to find a suitable set of 350 barrels to rebuild....but looks extremely unlikely. I had my bike store at (what used to be) a friends place and it seems that the 350 barrels and a couple of odd bits have evaporated from the bike  .
Can anyone advise if there is a place in Syd or Aust to that matter who sells 350 sleeve?
I am also looking for a bog standard RD250LC frame in or around to maybe kick off my project. Anyone has one available?

and lastly where is the TSS located?

Thanks
Phil

TSS are based in Cairns but I heard they had a falling out with each other so I dont know what the story is now but if you order stuff of them expect to wait a long time to get it delivered. It took 6 weeks and numerious phone calls to get my RZ reeds that were on the shelf.

Thanks EPA. I will make sure that I fly to cairns and pick them myself if I went down that path.

Cheers

hi sunset, i replied on the other site but just to confirm about parts availability here, sometimes things come up locally on ebay and this site aswell but you need to be quick,if you are willing to throw heaps of cash at it no worries,it just boils down to a time thing,so many times i had 2 wait a fortnight when i overlooked a small part and had to get from overseas, and i wont deal with the local yamaha dealer who simply wants 3 0r 4 times the price that you can get it for from overseas, there i had to pay up front and the final straw was they got the wrong part but it was my own fault somehow, we had a bit of an argument over that one and also they blamed everybody who buys bike parts on the internet as being unaustralian basically, after i left there i felt like the GFC was all my fault, they can get stuffed, anyway if you part it out on ebay you should do ok, even bikes found at the local dump attract a good price, good luck

Hi Ken,
Yes I understand your frustration. I have some XJ750 as well as the RD and much the same applies. As far as the XJ are concerned, I go to US and get the parts there...possibly one third of the price quoted here....if you can find it. I have been following the progress on the RD from other sites as well annd I feel for you to get that far and striking the kind of trouble that you are experiencing.
My bike is in a sad state....but I have had it sitting in the shed for two or three years now since retreiving it. Following your thread on your rebuild and a few others, i am getting inspired again, so maybe I will do something with it this time around....if I can get all the parts that I am after.
Cheers
