LC Exhaust Temp?

I'm making inquiries about having some standard exhaust pipes re-powder coated satin black. They offer two heat ranges 600c and 1100c ($320 and $520).
Does anyone know what temp the headers would run?
Any other alternatives - cheaper?

600 should be enough I would think.

Satin black rattlecan paint for wood stoves is an option, not as long lasting as powdercoating, but cheap as, and easier to touch up.

I've done that and have been disappointed - it wears off and scratches pretty easy. I'm inquiring and investigating at this stage - I haven't decided. It will have to be close to OEM for me to go ahead - I'll need convincing.

I would be interested to see the result, I cant see it lasting on the headers long term. What about black chrome, not sure how glossy the result is but that would take the heat.

What's Black Chrome? A ceramic finish?
I take it that OEM was powder coat satin. It lasts pretty well.

the rattlecan BBQ paint option was much discussed on the UK forum in the past, I think best results pretty much relied on a particular product that was better than the others (but was generally only available in a store chain that was only in the northern half of the country!)
There's probably one brand that's better than others?

Black chrome is just that a chrome finish but black in colour. Not sure where you actually get it done but chrome platers should do it. Its a nice finish but if you want the original look it might be a bit off.

you can also get the original black chrome (before they worked out how to do real black chrome)
its more of a 'smokey' chrome
