Starting RZ250R project

Hi Guys,
I'm finally getting to make a start on my basket-case (well, milkcrate-case really!) 250.
I paid $250 for it and from what I can tell it hasn't been registered since 2002, the guy I bought it off said it had done a big end and just got parked.
I guess that was when they removed the exhausts and pulled the plugs out, just to ensure a completely seized motor? :?
Anyway here are a few pics of it.

Cheers,
Bob

not bad for $250 imho. I paid 400 for mine, much the same condition.

Hi Bob,great to see you started a build thread.
Looks like a really good priced starting point! Is that a John Goss GS wagon I spy there under the covers?

Hi L.B.,
No such luck! It's an XC 302 wagon, I picked up the rolling body for $150 and a 302 and single rail to go into it for $900. The body is in pretty good shape for an XC, barely any rust except for where the last guy sanded back spots and then left the bare metal exposed.

Cheers,
B

Yeah, I think it is gonna cost me more than that in tools! It's been a loooong time since I've been hands on with spanners.
