Sydney 2 Stroke rides / catchups

Hey troops,

Would be nice to catch up and meet a few of the Sydney / Wollongong / Newcastle folk on this forum. I've already met and ridden with a few of you.

Any interest in organising a ride once a month or every 2nd month?

I'm always keen for a ride with fellow strokers.
Don't know how often I can commit, but would definitely try as often as possible.

sounds a good plan, when I get a bike on the road... I also cant commit to that often, but always good to have a schedule and then see who turns up etc.

Cool... I'm in same boat as you chaps... about a month away from being back on the road.

I'll set an initial date once I'm unready.

Happy for someone else to take the lead and start the catchups / rides before than if they want.

I'm just really keen to meet and ride with other 2 stroke fans.

I can add a calendar module to this website if it will help.
You can set up recurring events, and you would see what's coming up in a scrolling block. With another small mod, people can also click a button to say "I'm going", so you can get a list of attendees.

I have observed as a past organiser of rides is that the ratio of fettlers always out weighed the ratio of riders.


The best turn out I ever got was 10 ....................................I had to work for that though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah... I helped a bit with that last one. Persued people to the point of (mild) stalking, hehehe.

Its worth it though.... nothing like close to a dozen two strokes clearing their throats after a stop.

A calendar with attendance opt in sounds pretty good!

This is a great site. Need to keep people active and interested.

You need a few bikes because that's the problem with building specials/ hybrids, you are always building them and never riding them

I think so, it would drive a ton more traffic to the site and forums. I've got around around 70 friends on FB who are 2 stroke or motorcycle fans I could invite.

Happy to help with the admin if you like. I do the same at work from time to time when our comms manager is away.

Unless you are using Motul 710 which is unfortunately what I use and a few of my mates.

It does give me the need to be at the front instead of at the back though. It also gives me a headache.

Check out Sydney Riders, they meet Thur nites at the Caltex Parramatta rd Five Dock.

Haven't been out with them but I was fueling up the car one night and saw in excess of 50 bikes.

All sorts!!!
