New toy (TZR421) is on its way!!!

Post by Jeram »

Hey fellas,

I just purchased my new toy.

Its essentailly a TZR (2ma) with a brand new TSS 421 motor installed in it. All road legal and all.

I've just finalized the purchase from a guy in perth, whos putting it on a truck for me.

Ill post up all the details when it arrives!
the following 4T propaganda was brought to you by your local 2T lobby group...

"whats that youve got there?... a 450? "
yeah...
"what cereal packet did that come out of? "
huh?...
"I just wanted to know, because theres nothing worse than finding a piece of shit in the bottom of your corn flakes. "

Nice bike. I read his build thread on Perth Street Bikes. No expense spared it seems.

yeah, well I saw it for sale for the first time last week, read all 28 pages of the thread, rang up the bank, then sent him the cash :) all within a few days.

usually I think for too long and let someone else buy the bike from under me, but this time I decided to snap it up as quick as possible.

Yeah your dead right about no expense spared on the motor!
All Ill probably do to it is install a 3ma swing arm which I have sitting around collecting dust, and then upgrade the brakes and suspension.

then it should be 100% ready to go!

If I fall into some money for some reason, I might treat the LC to one of those motors.
Only thing is, the Mrs rides it now - do they behave OK these motors, or are they more crazy than the LC's snappy band?

I dunno, but Ill be sure to let you know!

I reckon any type power delivery can be achieved with the right pipes and an adjusted cylinder height.

However in std form Im expecting this thing to not have much bellow 4k, then Im it starts waking up between 4 and 6, then from 6 till 9 and a half, things start happening very quickly.

Ill definitely be getting an ungreg'd permit for it as soon as it turns up so I can take it for a ride.
because unfortunately I wont have the funds to properly put it on the road untill November/December

cheers bud, I didnt see your post there!

yeah its a nice and detailed thread!

At the moment hes running a 140 or 150 17inch rear tire in it so I can only assume its got a 4-4.5 inch rear wheel in it already.

cheers about the r6 shock, Iv been looking into that.
Im also looking into trial fitting my 3ma swingarm and perhaps even a late model 600 front end :)

but Iv promised the missus that I wont spend any more money on bikes untill the end of the year. So Ill enjoy it as is untill then!
but this thing used to be a track bike (the chassis) so It might not be so bad if its been set up well!

Looking forward to picking her up in a few weeks! Im guessing it'l get dropped off to the freight depot in the next couple days :)

1300 bike freight worked out the cheapest out of the 5 quotes I got.

It includes the following

-depot to depot freight (Inner Perth to Melb north-west-suburbs)
-$5k insurance
-crating and securing of bike

things that cost extra:
door to door service is $190 bucks or so at each end
disposal of crate is extra too but Iv got a use for mine

all up its $720 bucks depot to depot
