Rusty, nasty, motor blown (and not shown), but there may be more parts as there's another set of wheels in the background, and the twin disc set up may indicate other 350 parts. Never know, might actually be a 350.

Can't argue with your assessment, wonder how much he is paying for someone to take it away

Don't have the heart to take on something that rough, no matter how much I want an LC and if I did and proudly offered my missus a look she would laugh at me & call me names "fool" comes to mind..
Someone out there would be good for this bike though.
I will be that fella that pays 6k for one that has new rings and paint..

Each to his own. My LC came in a box of bits 'its all there' the PO promised, it wasn't. My F1 looked far worse than this does (see the pics on my site), and my 83 RZ came as just a scabby frame, ive sourced the rest since...

Hard yards way to do it though Jon, doing similar at the moment, adds up!
I'd take on a scrapper like that at the right price, with a view to spare parts, but they're often so far away that the freight makes it impossible , impracticable or uneconomical.

Must be much harder for you Darwin, living in the middle like that, the market there must be tiny..

It is a bit, not that I'm flush anyway, but I try to pounce when I get he chance!
Tricks are the old ones, to put feelers out, get to know people who pass on tips, and just to keep looking. Given that SA is 2 million people and half of those are in or near Adelaide I'm quite surprised what does turn up.
Other than that its "factor in shipping". Again though, given how bloody huge Australia is I'm surprised how reasonable transporting a bike can be.
Big car culture here, so if you're into cars there's something for everyone. Disproportionately well endowed with classic American cars here.

More info has been put on the advert, sounds like he has the entrails of two knackered 350's. - sudde nly this dog is worth a look if anyones up there, may be a parts haul.

Re: pile of poo, Townsville. 250LC
Mine wasn't much better than that, and came with less extra bits. It was complete, though in bit's... and most of the parts have been serviceable. It wouldn't be a bad project if 't price were reet!
Project RD350LC. Finished YL2C.
Re: pile of poo, Townsville. 250LC
I dunno, "boat anchor" comes to mind. If it were near me I'd be going, but to look with a view to working out if the tank and barrels etc made it worth a punt. If he has two knackered motors but they have 350 cylinders, and if the tank was decent, then certainly Game On for spare parts, but I reckon resto would be uphill.

Re: pile of poo, Townsville. 250LC
most restorations are uphill, trick is to pay the right amount for the scrap in the first place, and then you dont lose quite so much money doing it... Give me 15k and I can easily make you an 8k bike, but thats better than one costing 20k I guess
