I need a set of first oversize pistons for my 500. IIRC the Yamaha 1st O/S was +.25, unfortunately they are NLA from Yamaha.
So. Aftermarket it is. Bill Wilson recommends Wiseco, Dudley recommends Pro-X or Woessner. Yambits are flogging Mitaka and there is someone on eBay selling Forsetti. Ezpezie has a set of +.5 NOS pistons on eBay, but I don't want to just go up 2 sizes for the sake of staying with OEM parts.
Forsetti - never heard of them...
Mitaka - I thought they were dodgy but some guys seem to like them in the twins...
Wiseco - need machining apparently...
Pro-X - same...
Woessner - same...
I'm looking for advice from someone who has had a set of any of these brands above. What was good, what was bad and where did you get them? Also none of these suppliers seem to list a specific piston for the 500, so I need guidance on this as well.
Cheers.

Has anyone had experience with KHC brand pistons from WeMoto in the UK?

Re: RZ500 pistons - recommendations?
Wossner QC seems to have taken a dive recently. ProX have always been good. Mitaka are OK on a standard engine, new Wisecos seem OK.

Ask this guy and my advice is buy the second over size kit too and put them away for future use. This is cheaper than your Yamaha dealer can supply. http://www.ebay.com/itm/YAMAHA-RD500-TO ... b5&vxp=mtr
