Re: Blimey
Well, today I am going to pick up some FZR250 forks and tank, got em both for $130.
Then I am going to pick up the broken down TDR on a trailer. It might be better / economical to call Bikes Only ?

Re: Blimey
Tapatalk was my main reason for upgrading the site, although I don't use it very often.
The rest of the site is slower and "fatter" now though, but I think overall it was worth the update.

Tapawhat?? Sounds a bit technical to an old twat like me!
Project RD350LC. Finished YL2C.

Tapatalk is a phone app that lets you connect directly to the forum. It's much nicer on a small screen than having to load the entire website if all you want is the forum.

Re: Blimey
It was a bust!
In reply to the question, are the forks in good condition? Yes!
Turned up, forks have had all the rusty bits sanded, leaving Pitts. Tank has a hole and is full of rust scale.
Result- No sale!

Re: Blimey
Dumbass!
After it sat idling for 5 minutes it started sputtering but ran fine on one cylinder, I have fouled the plugs by letting it idle before, albeit with the choke on for too long.
So it ran on one cylinder for four blocks!
Made it to the address I was heading for, left it there so I could pick it up later.
Got it towed back today, was busy picking up forks and tank, $90.
Pulled the plugs, one was a good tan colour the other was wet.
Thought, check the slide balance, OK!
Check the drain screw on the float bowl for the cylinder that's not running, no fuel?
Check position of fuel tap, is on.
Disconnect fuel hose to right cylinder. No fuel?
Turn fuel tap to reserve, out she comes
In my own defence, most bikes that run out of fuel behave a little differently, sputter for a bit then stop.
So don't I fell like a dumbass today
Or am I smarter for learning something?
GMU..

I don't think anyone else wants to admit they have done the same thing before. Possibly many times

Well I'm glad its working again, thought I'd lost my favourite website.
Is Tappytalk suitable for ipads? Thats what I use to browse with, not my phone.
Duncan, you're not the only silly old twat on here, form a queue behind me! Frankly I can't be arsed with technology, it works or it doesn't, no passion like there is with old bikes.

Ex UK, now in Adelaide. LC250/350. DT175. Shed full of sh1t in the vague form of dismantled rusty RD’s and RZ’s.
Re: Blimey
I use iPad and Tapatalk. It's faster than a webpage and it will also show images, videos etc that don't otherwise show up on iPad for whatever reason.
