tell the mechanics to fuck off back to kindergarten. what a bunch of woosies and shovel the bill up their arse. I would be asking for a fully itemised account too. Big bores need a gut full of fuel to start. My old 400 is addicted to aerostart, but once it starts after a break it will start the first man kick every time. Just needs some fuel to evaporate from the cases, bingo.
You can even blow fuel into the cases by blowing into the breather tubes on the carby. Leave the head as is. At worst you can fit a decomp
