RZ350 rebuild tips

Post by 12oclock »

Hi all
first a quick intro, my names jonno, just new to the site, had my RZ350 for about 5yrs now, i live in blacktown blah blah blah
so now down to business...
so heres how it goes, blew first gear on my baby (clutchin it up on a 20yo bike no good!!!) so im in the process of rebuild
pulled her apart and realised crank was on its way out, bore and pistons need redoing...so time to build her big!!!
so heres how far ive come with her so far, rebore to 66mmm, got me some boysen reeds for her, wiseco pistons, fixed that 1st gear etc.
i want her as a commuter/track bike so any info in regards to this rebuild would be great
was looking into a 4mm stroker kit and wanted to know wats needed to get this happening (spacers, heads special pistons needed etc.)
also seen on ebay those coolhead kits, would it be worth doing it this way and also wat cc domes would be the way to go and wat r the gains i would expect with this
as u can tell im a bit confused at which way to with this whole situ as there are soooo amny different ways to go so any help would be greatly appreciated
cheers!!!

hey if your after a 4mm stroked setup the coolhead would need stroker domes..

best way to go would be to contact two stroke institute (lozza) on this forum and also talk to steve from two stoke shop in queensland.. thier cranks are what is really needed in these engines not a unbalanced hot rod setup if your planning on keeping it at high revs on the track

they also sell a stroke setup with base plate ect both guys are in the know with these engines

have fun it becomes costly
