Fuel Lines

Post by wheels999 »

Is there any fuel line available that can be pre-shaped with heat?

I only know of the clear line used in model airplanes and cars... but that stuff goes hard and brittle quite quickly, so wouldn't really be suited for bikes.

Cheers, Markus.

Black rubber fuel line no good 1/4 inch you can certainly get a decent bend on it.......................................or motor cycle fuel line its even thinner.

You might be able to use silicon based lines know you can use them on the oil lines with no issues its all petroleum based so one would suggest that it wouldnt be a problem.

Hey Ant,

Most of the stuff I need is either 8mm (5/16) or 10mm (3/8) inside diameter which is the biggest automotive fuel (or oil) hose you can get at Auto One or Supercheap.

I've ordered genuine lines from Japan now, but for future reference I would like to find something a little more accessible (and cheaper) if its available.
