Old Skool T250 Suzuki

Hi, new to the forum. I have been re-assembling my old 1969 t250 over the last few months. Fresh paint,tyres, spokes,lots of alloy polishing. I hope to get it back on the road by Xmas.

Haven't been on the site for a while. I now have 2 ds6 yams that I have started restoring and they have taken lots of my spare time.
Yes the Suzuki is finally regoed and on the road but it has a bad right seal on the crank and is literally blowing a smoke screen. It still goes like a scalded cat though. I now have some new seals and will drop the crank in for a rebuild in the next week or so. I am trying to get it sorted by the end of the month so I can go on a few runs with the VJMC.

Well, I got the crank back this week and rather than strip the motor down ,I dusted off another engine and started assembling. I managed to find most of the parts in the boxes of bits. A trip thru the beadblaster and some degreaser and voila! an almost complete engine. I just have to steal my good clutch plates,heads,barrels and pistons from the engine in the bike and it should be good to go. might even put the VM32 mikunis back on.

Smithies Power Centre at Currumbin on the Gold Coast did it for me. Cost of dissasembly,fit new seals and re-assemble was $120. He mostly does work on racing Ducatis but dabbles in cranks for 2 strokes. Nice work and turnaround was less than a week. The weather is crap at the moment so the bike is in the dining room. I will get the engine in today and probably give it a run tomorrow. When its all sorted I am going to try out the helmet cam and get some video.
