Post by Lowflying »

Need it for my bike. Anybody got one that works? Is there an aftermarket solution to this?

yes, ignitech/zeeltronic both sell programable PV control units that are quite affordable, but if you were going to do that youd be silly not to get an ingition + pv control unit !

there are a few people on this forum who are quite informed on these items, including 2strokeinstitute

Thanks for that quick response Jeram.

Are these replacement electronic things hard to program? Do they come with some baseline settings?

I've just sourced a used standard control box that I hope will work. But I am interested in knowing more about the Zeel. Is there really that much of an advantage in using a Zeel if your standard control box works? I mean, for street riding, is changing the program a good idea?

Ahhh I just remembered that I need another Zeeltronic race ignition for the KTMito project, as my spare ignitech didnt turn up :S...

So let me know when your buying and I will DEFINITELY get one.

Well, got a working used box from Steve at the TSS. It's working good now, but maybe one day the Zeel might be interesting.

Just have to figure out the best way to manage plugs and all will be sweet. It seems like you need a lot of spark plugs if you ride a smoker...
