tzr 3ma bits

Post by Jeram »

hey guys

If anyone has some 3ma chassis bits Id been keen.

all the little bits and peices including

axle blocks
axle
rear brake set up
radiator
bodywork, OEM, raceglass, or chinese ABS fairings
tank
rearsets inc brake/shifter
shock (stock or race)
triple clamps/yokes (bottom/top/steering stem)

or if you have any other little bits and peices kick around let me know.

Im also after a light weight 4.5x17 inch wheel to put in the swingarm if anyone has one.

I got a set of bodywork for mine from Asia somewhere last year. Its not too bad if you don't have anything else but some tabs were in the wrong spots and others broke off straight away.

cheers for the info mate,

I found on yahoo japan that there's a guy who makes decent race-glass for the 3ma. not too expensive either. 400 for a full set including seat unit. but the postage would be expensive but not so bad because all the pieces are separate (5 piece main fairing and 1 piece tail).
And last time I checked Japanese postage was based on weight not volume (for boxes under 2m circumference) so sending some light bodywork might be cheap.

yeah the 3xv arms are nice, but look rediculous when youve got underseat/rearward facing pipes.

;)

thats why I ended up going with the 3ma std swinger.
but Ill keep my eye out for 3maSP swingers in japan because they take a wider wheel (4.5 stock, (but up to 5 inch?)).
but for now the stock one will keep me happy, much less stuffing around to mount it.

What are you building a road or race bike. Parts are thin on the ground here but a guy on the TZR forum built one from parts then was trying to sell it off on eBay. He might be the same guy selling the parts now on eBay after breaking it up. The UK is a better bet or like you are doing Japan. If you are in Sydney a guy called Danny working in Metropolitan wreckers in Silverwater has one without body work that he is selling but never actually parts with it. I gave up asking him and bought one in Japan but try him anyway.

cheers,

yeah I asked the bloke earlier today and hes the guy off the tzr forum.
and I dont think he has any other bits left to part with.

ill stick to looking in japan then, IMO much cheaper than the UK and postage is very reasonable (150bucks to ship a whole frame!)
itd cost that much to ship a slip on muffler with UPS from anywhere else lol

yeah, Yamaha had alot of great ideas and alot of poor ideas on that bike.

So my bike is taking all the good bits about the 3ma and then replacing the bad bits with componants from other manufactures!
