Post by twinrock »

im after a set of carbs to put on my yammagamma currently running rg250 which are great 28mm flatslides but i want the auto lube back
id like rz350 ones but will consider 250 as i prob got all the jets to change it over, the cable would be a bonus too thanks

What about putting the brass nipples into the rubber carb boots, or putting them into the RGV carbs?

Seems a shame to go back to crappy LC round slides.

yeah i had considered fitting the nipples but have no idea what size they would be ..lookin at the inside of an lc carb its a pin prick of a hole ..not sure how to replicate that,, but yes seems like the obvious option i did also wonder what other carbs run direct auto lube, rgv??..both rg and tzrs run into the crankcase any advice would be great

I imagine that the hole or nipple size is irrelevant, as long as the oil can get in and it fits the tubing ok, the pump does the rest of the work.

Flapper is correct... its the autolube that determines the amount of oil that goes in, not the hole in the carb.

The nipple would be 3mm or so I guess. Not sure if any fish tank stuff uses brass. You might be able to use something from that.

Some of them just press in.. so you drill slightly undersize and shove them in.
You could use some loctite with it so help seal.

hey guys i finnaly got around to fitting the autolube up to the rg250 carbs just simply drilled out a hole per carb the pressed in 2 brass nipples then hooked the new clear lines, bleed the pump, adjusted pump cable..done about 60km and half a dozen wheel stands all seems good thanks for the help
