RZ Powervalves needed

Post by jools »

 I knew I'd need to do powervalve bushes and seals on my '83 RZ 250, but I need the actual powervalves too. A bush retainer has failed, allowing a bush to move out of its housing, and so everything's got misaligned and worn, including the centre joiner.
Anyone got a set of powervalves in VGC for sale? (I'll get new bushes and seals, it's the actual powervalves and centre joiner I need).
I need pistons and rings .75 oversize too, can anyone advise the best source for a piston set? Obviously cost is an issue, but I don't want to risk using crap stuff.
Cheers,

I have a set, are you going to the creek on the weekend? if so I can give them to you then. I dont have the joiner though. Mitaka pistons from Yambits are the go.

Hey that's a quick reply, thanks! Unfortunately I'm in Vic so it would have to be by mail. Are they 250 powervalves? (The 350 ones are different I think).
What sort of money do you want for them?
Yambits don't have the .75 oversize pistons I'd prefer, I'd have to go for 1mm over, I'll think about this one. Thanks for the tip mate.

Cheers,

Email Yambits they might have them but not on the site displayed. You can have the PVs just cover the postage, they are 250 ones. I had a look they are both fitted in left cylinders, are they handed or interchangeable.

Great, I've emailed you direct.
From what I can see they're the same -interchangeable, left and right, so they should be fine.
Thanks a mill'

Just checked and it looks like the LH and RH are different, so EPA's 2 RH ones won't do it.
So still looking for a pair, plus the centre joiner.

Given it is flavour of the month, TSS apparently sells valves and bush sets. I have tried to find the bushes from standard bearing suppliers and they are made of unobtainium based on my initial research.

I have his PVs in my RZ and they do work well but I had to wait over 6 weeks to get them even though they were an off the shelf item he said.
