Its the problem of small business I think, as a one man band you are in demand no matter which way you turn and so something has to give each day, and far away customers are the ones who suffer as the local boys drop in and make it happen. Ive seen this in many walks of life, not just tuning.

I always thought the bearings were pretty easy to get so this is an education to me. Ive a bunch of used ones here Jase if you want to clean some up and reuse them, I know I wont use them.

Hey L.B. The pistons are a Wiseco 795M06450 Forged and the blurb says Yam Banshee Thru 05 Long Rod 2539CD. Presumably they are for 64.5mm bore and mine is a 68mm bore.

You got any details on the head? I do have a full Athena kit with the 68mm barrels and head.

On another note, has anyone used the Wossner pistons that Steve sells?? Any feedback? He can do pistons and machined domes for the Athena barrels to suit the +4 crank as a kit, which I am seriously considering.

If you know which wosner you want you can get them locally through the wonser import (bikes and bits I think theyre called).

But if they are special batch wosners than Steve will be the way to go.

Just get them from Yambits postage usually takes 5 days. Buy them directly off their site and not through ebay, you save the VAT.

A 6305 bearing is about $10 from a bearing shop, to pin it you need a carbide drill bit and a drill press and a roll pin, drill bearing hammer in roll pin. Recently Graham advised to use the grooved bearing with some O ring cord and a smear of Loctite. Lay the cord in the groove in a case half and a smear on the top.

I would strongly advise against drilling a bearing and inserting a pin. I used one that had this done it cost me $2000 in parts to repair the motor when it broke where it had been drilled. Either buy the correct bearing or run a normal bearing without the pin and loctite it in place.
Click on the Yambits link Jeram the prices are there.

I've drilled and pinned a fair few bearings Pat and never had the misfortune you did, PJME do the same as does the bearing factory. Think George might have gone to far with the drill......................
