A shed full of gold!

Post by DuncanB »

Check this bloke ot here...
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261138021061 ... 1423.l2648

He has a shed 200 foot x 50 foot FULL of bikes in various states of repair! He's been a bike wrecker of a long time, and it looks like there is some right gold in there. He's got some complete stuff too, apparently. A black RZ500, some imported RZ350... the list goes on.
He didn't have an LC tank, unfortunately, but he was well worth talking to, and worth a visit I reckon. 8O
He's flogging the house the land the business and the bikes and a shed load of machinery!

Guys like that absolutely blow me away.

They value the stuff, they keep the stuff but they don't protect and preserve it :(

It will be interesting to see what it goes for but I reckon it is 99% shit and heartache :? . (Although I'm interested in those alloy indicators on the RD200 if any one here wins the bidding  )

By time you went through it, sorted it, moved it, stored it, advertised, sold and posted it you would be losing money.

There is an American program called Pickers - apparently America has hoards of these guys - they blow me away.

(By the way, what is actually being sold here?)

BTW I think there are a few RD/RZ exhausts hanging from the rafters 8)

I think the add was just to draw attention to it... Some mate of his was there, and decided to put an ebay add out just to advertise it existed. The guy is 70, and ready to give it all up. Interesting bloke.

Bloody oath, Ken... Don't get me wrong, a fair bit of it would be worthless shite, but there would be a good amount of great stuff.
It's a bike wreckers, and it's been running for 40 odd years.
I'm in Victoria after Xmas, the guy said feel free to come and have a look! I'll be going just out of interest and noseyness.

There is at least one early RZ in there, and maybe a tzr as well, and round the edges I see some other useful things, but who knows whats repairable... Im thinking not much, but it would be nice if he lived a few streets away, Id be over there most weeks picking stuff up LOL
