Re: ypvs chatter??
I reckon it might be a dirty feedback pot in the motor. I had a fiddle with my DT200L on an RZ configured controller and it would not start correctly, but would go back and forth at about 2-4 Hz.

Re: ypvs chatter??
It's fucked. DT servo has a friggin chip inside, RZ has that inside the CDI.
Re: ypvs chatter??
ah..well i guess i have another problem then..
when i first got the dt the power valve motor was pretty well gone water damage very rusted up..it worked but just barely so i just put an rz one on..!!! so im now assuming that this would not be suited to the bike any way...and may explain not wanting to rev all the way out...esp in higher gears??
so my next question can i use a motor off the later modle dts or has to be an earlier "L" model thanks

Re: ypvs chatter??
ahhh bugger, I never pulled the servo apart, just plugged the controller in. I might pull it to bits now and have a looksee.
Re: ypvs chatter??
If I end up putting my spare Ignitech race ignition into my CRM I might have a spare BRAND NEW zeeltronic PV controller up for grabs

"what cereal packet did that come out of? "

Re: ypvs chatter??
well im going to try locking the power valves open for a run tomorrow see if there is any difference in top end i realise that the bottom and will suffer greatly but it will atleast let me know if it is operating to its full potential or not..
Re: ypvs chatter??
just to recap.. the early dt200l does NOT have a chip in side the pv servo motor..
it is just like rz..
its the later dt200r that has the chip when u compare the two it is very obvious
as for my original chatter problem... im almost positive its a fault with the cdi...
zeel tronic is working on one for this model and dt125lc.. hope done soon

Re: ypvs chatter??
Well, if it is the same as the RZ, then it is just a leccy motor, power it up one way then the other and if it moves without being jerky, then it is eeither the feedback pot or the CDI.
Re: ypvs chatter??
yeah, go with the Zeeltronic PV controller
Be sure to get USB computer programming with it if you dont have their hand held programmer.
simple to wire up really, all it wants is an RPM input wire, a TPS input wire (if you have one), a positive 12VDC, earth and the 5 wires to the servo motor.
