ANZAC day

Post by hybrid »

Took the 500 out today. Got away a bit later than I wanted, then ran out of fuel before I got to the service station

Finally got underway... went on the putty rd, but only did the first 60-70km before turning back.

The bike kept going better and better... not sure if it was the air getting colder, or that it was the first nice long ride its been on for a long time.

Top day for it.

I know your pain... I spent 5 weekends in a row building a retaining wall out the front of my house. Never want to do another one.

haha, well we are building 4 layered retaining walls and a set of retaining steps... and then a new huge deck above that. Its a mental project but keeps me out of trouble and also off the road it would appear.

Forgot to state the obvious Jeff, the bike looks amazing mate!

Yeah, looking great. How about a pictorial - I don't think I've seen too many piccies of your bike. It looks particularly tasteful and purposeful.

There's a lots of quiet words of gratitude, service and nationalism on Anzac Day - and they are all needed and worthwhile. But I'm know your ride and expression of freedom would put a smile on the face of many an old digger, the ones who made it home and the ones who didn't.

Thanks fellas. It's not perfect - it needs the wiring in the front cleaned up as most of the electronics are in there, but I need an autoelectrician who is experienced with bikes to make it neat I think. I wouldn't know where to start with it.

There isn't too many pics around because I actually haven't had it out much!

I didn't realise that my 500 project wasn't on this board.
I'll try and copy it over now.

As for ANZAC day... well they fought for our freedom, and you don't get a better feeling of freedom than when you're in the twisties on a stroker.

I was out pretty late in the afternoon.
I saw one cop stopped just before butterfly farm... other than that, nothing.
