Grinder and Ignitech/Zeel ..............done

Re: mc28 whats needed to know
can you get them on the road?
Re: mc28 whats needed to know
Yes if it has import approval. There should be either a compliance plate saying Grand Prix Imports or similar on the bike and a second frame number stamped on it of have import approval if someone else brought it in. A phone call to the RTA should answer that question.
Re: mc28 whats needed to know
What do you want to know about them? Then run a key card ignition instead of a normal ke,tthe swingarm is heavier but looks great, they run a heavier flywheel and the exhaust is restricted at the stinger join. Parts are interchangeable with the 21 but the fuel tank, seat and tail fairinga are different shape.
Don't put the steering lock on unless you have the card and charge in the battery.
In stock form, it is restricted, if you get the HRC card programmed then you lose your Speedo.

All the panels are different , tank included . You can buy bodywork pieces on yahoo or do a tyga conversion .
How much is the bike if I may ask ?
I am trying to decide myself if I want a nsr as a road bike .

Re: mc28 whats needed to know
I have a full set of Tyga bodywork RS250 style for sale if anyone is interested. Headlight and fairing stay included, never used just fitted to the bike.

the bike i was looking at was a se dry clutch with thrashed plastics
would it just be worth getting the 21 instead due to the restriction issues?
Re: mc28 whats needed to know
With the 28, you overcome the restriction with the HRC card but you lose your speedo. It's got a heavier flywheel and swingarm compared to the 2 but looks much better.
If you want the performance from a 28 you can fit a 21 loom and PGM.
Max41: all 28s came with a dry clutch and se forks standard, the main differential is the Mattel rims.
