Snake oil or not it is on the exxy side - $375 - $775US
I vote 'snake oil' simply because of the vague overpromising and seductive hype.

196 pages of happy chatter about the smart carb here: Lots of good reviews2TInstitute wrote:He's about the only one, in fact think he has the only functioning set.

I see. Let's go with the skool2TI account that I set up and I will have my marketing team cancel the one set up earlier. Several people saw we were being slandered here on your good forum and were wanting to clarify the issue. The forum links that were mentioned in the previous post should be adequate to show that there are a lot of people happy with their purchase of the SC and plenty of testimony to "defend" the product.hybrid wrote:For the record, micronizer and skool2TI are the same person.
Corey, signing up for two accounts on this website to support your own business and talk about yourself does not help your image at all.
Why not defend your product without hiding behind two different usernames?

I'm not sure what it takes to get to mainstream, however we are certainly no Keihin or Mikuni yet. Currently we have sold a little over 200 2t carburetors and have another couple dozen out in sponsored racers hands. We have several thousand pre ordered including GasGas's initial request. The cast carburetors list for $375.00 which is certainly comparable to an off the shelf Mikuni or Keihin. Our OEM pricing of course will have to be much lower ,however even at that a 10-14% gain in performance, 30%+ gain in fuel economy and an opportunity for current and pending emissions certifications are certainly value adds.hybrid wrote:No worries.
I'm sure results will speak for themselves either way once they hit the mainstream. Cost will be the limiting factor to the market penetration though, particularly with multi-cylinder bikes.

I was talking 38mm compared to an PWK S AG ASII, TMXx or FCR.hybrid wrote:skool2TI wrote: The cast carburetors list for $375.00 which is certainly comparable to an off the shelf Mikuni or Keihin.
Not really. I can get PWK28's for less than $100 each, brand new from Kawasaki. For a 4cyl stroker, $400 vs $1500... it's not viable at all.
Where was the bit with the rejetting of the OEM carburetor, hit the cutting room floor no doubtOzzyElsie wrote:The Dirt Rider mag likes Smartcarb on the dyno.....
